Our professors are piano virtuosos, all having graduated from world renowned institutions such as the Royal Academy of Music and Manhattan School of Music. They have also performed in some of the world's most prestigious venues, from Wigmore Hall to Lincoln Centre.

Maria Tataru was Young Artist at the National Opera Studio in 2020-2022. In 2019-2020 she completed the Opera Répétiteur Fellowship with the Royal Academy of Music (London).


Maria studied Piano Performance at the attained her Bachelors’ and Masters’ degrees from the Royal Conservatoire Antwerp, Belgium (graduated with Great Distinction), following studies at the Academy of Music Theatre and Fine Arts in Chisinau in her native Moldova.

From a very young age, Maria has taken part in international music competitions and concerts across Europe as a piano soloist, accompanist and in chamber music ensembles. The many prizes she won include Grand Prix and First Prize (Piano solo) at Vocal-Instrumental competition Viva la Musica, Romania; First Prize (piano solo)- International Music Competition, Serbia; First Prize (piano solo) - Zlata Tkaci Music Competition, Moldova; First Prize (piano solo) - Clapele Fermecate Music Competition, Moldova.

Besides competitions and concerts, Maria has taken part in many masterclasses with world-renowned musicians as Roger Vignoles, Richard Goode, Misha Namirovsky, Stanislav Igolinski, Sergei Covalenco, Vasily Lobanov, Olga Iuhno and Sergei Edelmann.
